Making It Bigger, Again…
Hopefully, the second set of extensions fits…
The strips of ABS I used on the first set of extensions ended up being very brittle. So, I have to try a different method. I’ve chosen to weld the seam…
Outside seam, on both sides, completely welded.
I’m going to use the old extensions and cut them up to use as the bridge between the extensions and Back Belt.
I’m also melting the scrap and using it to fill in the original holes…
One hole filled.

Used the soldering iron to smooth out the seam weld.
Also used the soldering iron to melt some of the backing piece to help give a more stable connection.

And, finished up by using the soldering iron to melt some of the backing piece on the other side to help give a more stable connection. And, we finally have a fit!
