Getting Closer To Finished…

Just a few more little areas to fill…

I did some dry sanding to take off the high points of the primer.

I applied some glazing putty into the last few pits…

After the glazing putty dried, I sanded it down with medium grit sand paper, and it’s now ready for the final coat of primer.

Fourth coat of primer applied. I’d say this piece is ready for the silver base paint…

This Primer…

I’ll be glad when I can get some more primer from Harbor Freight. This Rustoleum primer just tends to create more problems than it solves…

There seemed to be some sort of “reaction” between the primer and the glazing putty. Where ever the putty was applied a little thicker, the primer below it started crazing (cracking). So, I used a medium grit sand paper and took it all down to almost the bare plastic, or the better primer…
