Mudtrooper – Upper Belt & Lower Belt, Completed

Great, More Mud…

Added velcro to one end of the Lower Belt…

And then to the other end, completing the Lower Belt…

The leather belt needed to be whittled down at the end in order to fit into the Upper Belt Buckle…

Testing the fit, and it looks good…

The leather belt was then glued in place…

Then, velcro was added…

And, we now have a completed Upper Belt…

The Upper Belt Buckle after I did some wet sanding with very fine sandpaper to try and simulate wear on the green paint…

The Buckles for the Respirator after a quick dry brushing of copper paint. This gives the appearance of the base metal showing through…

This is what the final Shin Strap should look like…

I had to switch up the process for assembling the Shin Straps because the E6000 glue didn’t seem like it was going to hold the small pieces in place. I switched over to super glue gel, which creates an almost instant bond and is nearly impossible to remove…

To simulate wear on the Upper Belt Buckle, I applied some liquid latex along edges and other strategic places…

Then, the Upper Belt Buckle got the final process of greens & grey paints…

All of the boxes got some spot putty in the low spots…

Time to assemble the Upper Belt Buckle & Code Disk. I found a small screw that fit the hole in the back of the Code Disk. Then, I drilled a small hole through the Buckle…

The Code Disk was then secured with a dab of glue and the small screw to the Buckle…
