Smoothing Things Out
I decided to try to see how hard it was going to be to get a nice, smooth finish.
Using a fine grit sandpaper, I did some wet sanding. This took the paint off really easily, and left a really smooth surface.
I added glazing putty to all of the areas where there were low spots. I’m hoping this works better on this harder plastic than it did on the vinyl Don Post helmet.
Just need to let it dry.
