Let’s see if this new alternative will work.
Checking the alignment with the actual servo unit. Looks like it may work…
Front side, with the screw inserted so I could mark the size of the head.
I shortened the receiving (female) piece of the chicago screw and figured out where it needed to be mounted on the servo so that it properly aligns with the hole.
I then mixed up some JB Weld…
And used it to mount the screw piece.
I need to sink the head of the screw down into this piece, so that it won’t interfere with the ear cap.
I ended up using a paddle bit, on super slow speed, to drill the area down to the correct depth. Then I smoothed it all out with various exacto blades. That looks like it should do the trick…
