Since these armor prints were done before I got my printer back to normal, the print lines have a lot of irregularities. The primer was tending to “pile up” on the high spots, and not flowing into the “grooves.” So, I decided to try something…


I tried out a new technique where I would spray a blob of primer onto the part, then use a small chip brush that’s dipped in paint thinner, to force the primer into all of the grooves. This also seems to extend the dry time of the primer, allowing you to smooth it out a bit…
