Time to install the lens. But, first I have to create the angled sides that are called for. I trimmed down the template to the point where the bends are supposed to go…
I lightly scored the back side with a utility knife and then slowly bent the lens over the edge of a counter top to get the angle. I also used a soldering iron on low, running it over the scored area while bending. The heat made it a bit more flexible and kept it from snapping…
